Going thru the worst flood in 39 years here on the river..Three weeks ago had the best prospect for a corn crop in years but tonight can,t see a plant. Cumberland river is 38 ft OVER FLOOD STAGE HERE in our little river bottom. Backing up in Operland Hotel in Nashville for thos of you that have attended conventions there.. Won,t crest here at the hous for another 12 hrs or so. Byt that time it will be over all fences and our way in and out.
