It never hurts to know a second language, especially if you need it. And thanks to the US federal government since the early 60�s, you will need to know Spanish sooner or later.
If I didn�t learn Spanish, I wouldn�t be able to do my job as that�s nearly all that�s spoken here and had to learn Portuguese when I lived in Angola and Brazil.
