It has been several years ago, but we had a dog that we thought had eaten some rat poison. I believe the vet gave him a shot of vitamin K. He also inspected the dog's gum line closely (I believe looking for signs of hemorrhaging).
I had to put my dog of 12 years down last fall. I don't wish that on anyone. I know she was just a dog (as my Dad would say), but I sure was attached. I wish you the best.
