Woods used to be a good place to work. Not anymore The company has been bought and sold so many times in last 10-15 years the people on the factory floor don't have much idea who they really work for. hesston and fait new holland are 2 that come to mind. my brother worked there for maybe 30 years when one day his foreman said joe come with me your job is no more. woods has been doing that to their employees for a while just pull someone off of floor and send them packing. the guy that had same job on 2nd shift got the same treatment as joe and he had told woods he was going to retire in a few weeks. joe would unload trucks with fork lift or over head crane he would also keep welders and press operators supplied with steel and keep running inventory of what steel they had on hand.
