Replace it with what? States want to put up windmills off the coast. Guess what people complain, they want to put up windmills on a mountain top, people complain. Companies want to tap into Natural Gas people complain. Build a Nuclear power plant people complain.
Reminds me of an article several years ago about a power plant putting up windmills, everyone thought that was wonderful, UNTIL they started cutting a 200 ft swath through the forest to run the transmission lines from the windmills to the plant, then everyone who supported the windmills sued to stop the transmission line construction becasue it would devastate the forest.
