10-4 they call it cavitation. Thank goodness I was wrong. I thought you was wanting him to get stoop shouldered and hooka Chibby to a camper and head south. When folks with a 6.9 and early 7.3 finally listened and started to add a $4 can of additive a year to the radiator the cavitation was'nt a problem anymore. The heat transfer on the heads was still a problem tho, you could always count on the valve seats and heads to be cracked at rebuild time. Ford finally got all that lined out with a 7.3 tho in 93 or so. The new Chibbies might be ok with the Izuzu diesels in them, but it's still cheaper to buy a real Izuzu 1 ton here than it is to get a morphed Chibbie.
