Naw I don't think it's a macho man thang. Just don't let some golf club hauling yuppie pack a wore out gas burning Chibby off on you. One of the yuppie managers here bought 2 Chibbies from his SIL salesman. I spent all my time going to move whatever they had went after with the Chibbies. The 350 Chibby would'nt do the job and the 454 was a continual money pit. It would pull ok but not regular. It cost more for ignition modules, spark plugs and wires for the 454 than it cost to run a diesel dorf altogether. I can't tell any real difference in the cost of operation in the Fords. The single tires wear out about twice as fast so the tires per year is about the same, and I run the same tires on all of them. Outside of that the fuel mileage is vertually the same. The suspension is almost the same from a 250 to a 350, and the brakes, hubs and bearings are the exact same. P.S.-Don't send your boss' daughter to the bank and forget to tell her not to use the drive in winders tho. The right back fenders are pretty flimsy against concrete. That gal aint even a blonde either.
