They were built to light. can develop head gasket problems and warpage if abused by overworking.
pros are fuel mileage. ive got one that needs head gaskets but i was able to get 24-27mpg avg. with it. some say they are hard starters but i put glow plugs on a toggle switch and that pickup would start without being plugged in at 0.
hope that helps. you should put what u intend to do with it daily driver or puller.
