You have a lack of down pressure on the 3 pt lift arms. The aggregate weight of the blade, its frame, and the tractor 3 pt linkage is all that's holding the blade in the cut. Most 3 pt arrangements I'm familiar with have no down pressure--only lift pressure. Do you have any suitcase tractors weights or something that you can hang on your blade for more dead weight? I've done this with my Kubota. The old cable dozers got their work done by simple massive dead weight of the blade--the cable arrangement offered no down pressure as opposed to newer hydraulic units. I saw a local barn builder that used a mid-sized AC tractor to bore post holes had some sort of z-bar linkage with a two way hydraulic cylinder in place of the standard adjustable top link that you normally see on a 3 pt hitch to give him down pressure in tough ground. It worked very well. You may want to check into this.
