Around here the gas carts that are 4 to 5 yrs old and just coming off golf course leases bring $2,000 at auction, while electrics are cheaper. The expense of an electric is a set of batteries which costs around $600 and have a 5 to 7 yr typical life span.
When I go to Florida Flywheelers I haul 2 to 4 people all over that soft sand stop n start driving maybe 4 to 8 hrs a day SOOOOOOOOOOO that requires me taking my 1995 Yamaha gas cart as the batteries in an electric wouldnt hold up and then require maybe 6 to 8 hrs of charge time (if you can find a receptacle) to replenish. I also have a 1997 electric EZ GO here at home the wife can use to garden or haul. I paid $500 for my Yamaha and the EZ Go was given to me.
