Why do you want to put it into hay? Put it in corn or beans. A lot more money to be made. 170 acres is a lot of hay is a lot of hay to get up and better yet hard to get up all with good quality and without it getting rained on. Put it in corn or back into beans. If I was you I would put it in corn, then this fall harrow the stalks, plant winter wheat and get into a wheat bean rotation if you want. Just my opinion
