Chief, not all flail heights are set as these guys have said even though all are probably partially correct. If you have an offset mower the outside plate on the long side rides on the ground. I think the real answer is if you have a slotted upper link attachment on your mower the front skids should ride on the ground and the roller adjusts the height. If you don't have slotted attachment you probably adjust the height with the 3 point. If you have the slotted attachment when the mower is down the upper link bolt should be centered in the slot to allow for uneven conditions.
