The serial number is seventeen thousand,two hundred and seventy three. That makes it a 1940 9N. For it to be a 2N it would have 2N in the first two digits of the serial number. Also for it to be a 1946 model, like you thought, it would have to have a serial number that would be one hundred and seventy thousand. You miss counted the serial number.
