I don't know what you could put out this time of year Bill, but here's and idea. When these goof balls here mess up somebody's yard I do the repair like this. If there is a turf farm near you, you can usually get a pallet of bermuda for about $50 picked up at their farm. Take that sod back home and cut it up into plugs about the size of your hand and checker board the bare spots with it. It's a lot less hassle than seeding and you can have a good ground cover quick.
