Assumming comparable condition and money not an issue, I'd take the Massey.Virtually same size,more power, better fuel economy. Twenty years ago we had 3 work tractors, JD 2630, MF 165, and Ford 3000. The JD was the most powerful and the most comfortable, contaiminated hydraulic fluid eventually forced its sale. The MF ran for 30 years,was loaned out and run out of oil. The Ford is still here.(barely) Personally, I favor the Fords, the MF seat / clutch postion is awkward to me. If the choice were a Ford 4000 diesel or the MF 165, I'd take the Ford. Given your choice, I'd opt for the MF, too much hp is better than too little. CB
