Lift problems

I have a 631 Ford tractor and the lift has quit working completly. It started out that when it was cold weather it was slow to get going. The tractor would have to run for sometimes 10 to 15 minutes . It has plenty of fluid so this is not the problem. So if someone would tell me what to check and what to do to fix it would I sure would be grateful. I have never been inside of the lift section but I am willing to learn.
