oliver 1850 trans prob.

i bought a oliver 1850 with a trans problem well i got it in two and the main shaft out i have a problem with my manuel pre load on the main shaft nut it saws 90-100ftlb and when i do that i get gear jamming up on the shaft my feeling is that the manuels wrong and needs to be inch pounds.i also noticed that theirs realy no real perpose for the main shft nut. just maybe pull the bearing square on asembly.please e-mail me if you know what i have here [email protected] thanks bill
