This is not the worst treatment I got, but it sticks out the most in my mind: Went to JD dealer, looking for the special pins & clips used to keep a 3-point (well, lower arms) plow on. Kid behind the counter didn't have a clue. I had my broken one along - he looked it up, muttered they didn't have any, might be able to order some but doubts they make them any more. I wondered how people keep their plows on, and he muttered back they all have quick hitchs, that's how others do it. Well, the way he said that, it was as if I was the dumbest human on the planet, like why would I even want to LIVE if I had to use those pins & clips, & why ain't I man enough to have a quick hitch???? (Aside from all I've seen say 'don't use for plowing' altho everyone does...) Right then an older sales guy walked by, looked at my broked clip, reached around a shelf, & pulled out a box of the pins & clips that I wanted.... I remember the kid's snotty remarks every time I walk in that dealership, & go to other dealers at times just because I don't want to talk to that kid. And really, in the long run, it wasn't a bad deal - just really hit me I guess! Funny how a little passing remark can really change the way a person feels. --->Paul

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
