It's one thing to think you should try to change someone's mind. There's nothing wrong with trying to do so by discussion (although I doubt the original post will do much to convince those who don't believe). It's completely different to use force to do so (the "will kill you" part you mentioned). It's bad that some people who believe the first part is OK also think the second is OK.
