if you want a real CHEAP-CHEAP set up and dependeble as the sun shine a old farmall M or H with a loader on it, i have a super H with a loader on it and use it every day,it will lift 1000 pounds with out ant trouble,i all-so have M with loader and live hyd but all0ways use the H because it,s easier to run.dont ever try to put a loader on a 8-n ford they are nice little tractors but a loader is a no no.if you move up to late 50,s or early 60,s tractors you will be in for spending a lot more money, to buy and keep up.just sold a 1650 cockshutt for 4,500 and what a nice tractor to operate, but i just dont no about parts down the road.
