Are you referring to removing a hitch with ball when not in use? That reminds me of the editor of Machine Design magazine writing an editorial bemoaning how his wife and (him?) had been repeatedly rear ended in Minneapolis/St Paul traffic and how decided to leave his trailer hitchs in place to render the most damage to the fellow behind if they were so unlucky as to even lightly bump his car, there would be a big deal to get unhooked or better yet tear their plastic bumper up. I thought that was pretty daamm anti social but his take on anyone not a degreed engineer was probably not fit to own, much drive a car..like he never got over being superior Junior engineering student who passed thermodynamics.
