I can't find any links that will tell you about Jay Whitford, DBA Rileyville Forge.
He was one of a kind, I really don't know what I am going to do now when I bend or break something, he was only 4 miles down the road from me, he was just north of Colmar, IL.
Wish I could find a way to reprint info about him, one of the articles says he was born 100 years too late. Steam engines were his true love.
He was only 47. Asthma was a constant problem for him, his mom found him dead in the bathroom Friday morning of a heart attack.
Last time I had him repair something was the loader bucket on the IH 1066. It was all of 2 above zero that day, but not a problem with him because he knew I had hay to move and it wasn't going to get any warmer soon.
I am sure most of you have not ever met or heard of him, but prayers for his mom and dad would be nice. He never married, so leaves no wife behind. DOUG

As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
