In reading down these posts I am wondering where the opinions opposing distilled water use in cooling systems originated. Is not properly distilled water inert with less than 5 gpg salts and virtually no mineral content? Why would you want to put anything in your cooling system other than the perfect cooling medium (distilled water) plus additives to prevent freezing and suspend particulates? All salts precipitate out of water @ 140 degs and all minerals follow up to 212 degs. These deposits end up in the hottest and/or lowest parts of your water jacket and cooling system requiring lots of effort and cleaning solvent to remove (if it is possible and not too late). Joe
