Ford 755 Alternator question

just sold my old 4500 tractor for something a little bigger (also read a bigger pain in the back) I got a 755 TLB 1983. There have been no modifications to the electrical system. I was just checking the belts the other day and noticed a Green wire with a cap clip (fits over a threated screw type) hanging loose. It is in the same wiring harnise going to the alternator. The question is where does it go. It is the 51 amp alternator. Thanks
