Either call your local soc. security office or better yet go in person. Don't use that 800 number unless you have a book to read while you are on hold and want to talk to some one a thousand miles away. I can drive to our local office--40 miles each way-- and have my problem fixed and be home before I would get off hold on that nationwide line. Local people have been very helpful to me and have taken care of my problems.
