Check the coolant with a test strip. Run an oil sample to the lab with the engine and trans oil. If it looks beaten and poorly maintained on the outside. It's whipped on the inside too. Pull the trans screen and filter. As with any machine. The past service and operation can make or break it. There is trans top shaft upgrade.
