Done it many times with tractors. Not with horses though as I had pretty made up my mind before I started out because of good clear photos and copies of vet papers. The horse people I have dealt with have not disappointed me in their descriptions. Buying a tractor from a privet party seems to be more of a gamble. original paint with brush marks and wrong color. Like new tin with rust holes. 80% rear tires with a bulge in the side wall parked so it is hard to see. Fresh overhaul with old paint on the head gasket side wall. Must I go on? Also one might not own a trailer and want to see what they are buying before paying someone with both horses or tractors.
Also if you have something to sell you would be naive to think every person that looked was a (serious) buyer. Didja ever make the rounds of car lots of appliance stores and buy th efirst thing you came across??
