There are still plenty of Amish moving into New York. Especially in Jefferson, Lewis, and Montgomery Counties. I just bought some equipment from a group that relocated here from the state of Maryland. They told me they had two weeks to get rid of all their rubber tired tractors that came with one of the farms they bought.
They depend on being able to buy farm land close to each other. Many are now buying in the Tug Hill region in Jefferson and Lewis Counties NY and buying land for sometimes as low as $1000 per acre. Several non-Amish dairy farmers from Otsego county are also moving up the the Tug Hill region. Many relatively cheap farms for sale in that region.
