I'd take it off the tractor and attempt to bend it back. You'll have to heat it up with an OX/ACC torch. You'll never get it perfect but bend it enough so the exhaust doesn't blow in your face - be careful not to crush the pipe. The goal is to maintain the diameter and eliminate the bend.
I wouldn't back it into a tree to bend back as you might crack the manifold. I also would avoid doing it on the tractor – older mufflers have muffler crap (rust, carbon, etc) in them that you don’t want falling into the engine. The torch is also an issue as you don’t want to heat up something that doesn’t like heat like paint.
