I had the email given to me by my local provider. The box started filling up with spam without me even using my email. I called the company and they said that I didn't have my spam filters on, I said they don't matter I never used it and you SOBs sold my address all over the Net before I even used it. I only use on-line email. Get Gmail, better at controlling spam and you don't have to worry about viruses because they scan everything before you open it. You also have your email intact if you change servers.
