I factory ordered a 2005 reg. cab, long bed, 4wd 3500 (non-dually) Allison trans. dsl.

No problem with engine, or transmission at all! Everything else!!! I just went through a 1" +/- file folder, & come up with the following... The dealer test drove, & filled the fuel tank, & I took delivery with 6 miles on the odomometer!

1) 195 miles in for air/heat controls.
2) 250 crack in door trim
3) 15,172 Air/heat controls again
4) 22,700 Broken shock absorber.
5) 29,997 Power stearing line leaking
NOW $100 Deduct starts at 36,000!
7) 37,562 Trans. wont go into reverse. veh. towed. Ignition replace.
8) 38,002 Again no reverse / towed / they test drove 2 days/No codes/ No problems
9) 39,248 power steering leaks, & no reverse when mechanic tried driving.
10) 39,248 Tore apart steering for 3 days looking for reverse problem. Found it!
11) 58,951 both sterring tie rods + idler arm.
12) 62,371 Leak in roof cab lights.
13) 62,371 Leak in front wheel hub.
14) 62,409 Stranded / Towed; due improper hub repair.
15) 65,380 Radio out + Power steering motor out.
16) 76,214 Tail gate handle / broken power window motor.
17) 83,411 Vehicle dies / Towed / Alt. + Batteries.
18) 86,219 Radio out again! Replaced for 2nd time.
19) 90,480 Replace 1 steering arm again + replace hub!
20) 90,480 Radio wont take CD's! You probably can guess; New radio.
21) 90,480 Dashboard lights! 7 lights out. Soldered LED's. Cant replace just a bulb... You have to change the entire circuit board they are attached to. $890 to replace 7 light bulbs. I wrote an ugly letter to GM at that point, & told they are never supposed to go out; YET!!! I have talked to a lot of other people who have not had any problems with dashboard lights.

I could add more to this. I now have 110,000 miles on the vehicle, & the radio is starting to act up again. If it gets relaced it will be the 5th radio including the one that came with the vehicle. GM wants about $550 I think to replace it. I think this time I am going to look at another brand radio!

By the way. This vehicle has not been misused. I havent pulled much weight behind it, & it has not been used even 750 miles for towing on the road, & the farm! Maybe I just got a lemon; but who knows! I have tractors, & thats what they were made for!

Scotty
