Moving a tractor with a car carrier

Anyone ever tried it and how did it work? I have to pick up a Deere 1020 about 35 miles away and my little pickup won't handle it, so I want to rent a U-haul truck with a car carrier trailer, chain it down and head home. Any thoughts appreciated. Steve
