Hi Pat-CT: The amount, or size, of the EMF around a wire depends on the amount of power running through the wire. Cross country electric wires carry huge amounts of power compared to what's inside a car. It also depends on the frequency. DC is quiet compared to AC. I would be willing to bet Toyota did not consider the highest power power lines. Somewhat like others did not build the Twin Towers to withstand airliners crashing into them on 9/11. There is a cost factor in making anything bullet proof. Shielding from stray EMF interferance can be a tricky job. See my post above. Interesting tho.. .ag
