First harvet of the year with the maple syrup is well underway. Two days ago seen the first field work of the season via the neighbour and a team of horses harrowing thier market garden. Seen no till spring wheat being drilled in today. Still snow drifts to be found in sheltered areas. Pushing the season plenty except for peas which are rare here. Spring wheat or oats ok. Mid April to early May is considered the norm for early grain crops. Seen crop being planted in the 1st 2nd & 3rd week of April 2005. Also have pictures of the kids roaring around the house on the snowmobile April 26th 2005 in 6" of snow. A lot of fields had to be replanted.
