It is possible that you didn't break anything.
My first thought would be either a blown O-ring or scored cylinder wall on the main lift cylinder. Second guess would be a blown O-ring somewhere else. Third guess would be the delicate lever system inside the rear end housing is bent slightly and therefore out of adjustment. You might also have a stuck or malfunctioning pressure relief valve or drop poppet valve. Others here will be able to shed more light on the subject. The Massey board would be a good place to post your question.
