I have limited knowledge but I'll try to confuse you, OK?
The TE and TO 20's had a Continental Z120 engine, while the TO 30's had the Z129. The casting number of the crank on my TE was Z120 and some other numbers. Maybe if the C20 part on your crank looks a bit different it might refer to the journals if the crank has already been serviced.
Aside from the part numbers, you can tell the difference in the engines by the oil filters. The 120 has the oil filter in the oilpan and the 129 has an external filter on the side of the block. I used an IT Shop Manual when I restored my tractor and it was very helpful in pointing out the many MINOR differences in the different models. One thing I know, the cranks are not interchangeable.
The biggestdifference in the two engines is that the Z120 is rated 27 hp and the Z129 at 30 hp. (my guess that's why they call it the TO 30)
Good luck with your tractor.
