NMR in Ontario officially claim there there exists no problem with or they don't even exist. With cougar, wolf, bear or coyote in Ontario. There was an article in the local paper this week from a MNR bioligist from Toronto. Who claimed there has been no increase in the coyote population in the past century. And coyotes pose no threat. While the driver was a feed blower hose to a bin.
