I have a problem with a Farmall A I recently purchased. I am unable to slow the tractor down to an idle without moving the throttle lever way past its intended settings. The motor was rebuilt, and when I bought it, baling wire was holding the govener arm from opening up. I have tried to adjust the linkage, but even with the yoke on the linkage threaded all the way in, it is not enough to line up with the carb. Is this possible through putting the govener together incorrectly? I have never taken one off myself, but it"s either that or an incorrect linkage or carb.
