Pull the gas line at the carburetor and see if there's a full flow of gas from the line. Hold a container beneath the gas line to catch the gas. If there's good flow to the carb your carb probably needs a good cleaning.
It may be gummed up if old gas was left in. You can call Briggs & Stratton and ask them if that engine has a pump. Call this number to see if its their tech service number. Hal
