Is it possible to reach Branson from Wisconsin in a day? Sure, but what kind of a day would it be? You'd need a vacation trip to rest up from your vacation trip! Better to take your time and see some countryside along the way. Shortest distance might be to head straight South and go thru St. Louis to reach Branson, but you could find yourself at St Louis ready to call it a day, and St. Louis (or any such big city) would not be my idea of a place to relax for the night. Better to strike off West at maybe Peoria and cut down through Missouri- you might be reasonably able to reach Columbia in a decent day, spend the night there, and then make your way to Branson a bit more refreshed. Some beautiful country in Missouri- hate for you to miss it by pressing thru in the dark.
