I wonder though, how many people out there decide to try to find out if it is really true. For instance, I remember back when the suzuki samarai's where deemed unsafe by Consumer Reports, a couple of young adults in my home town took one for a test ride to see if they really would tip, they did.
I have to admit, if I had one of the toyota's, I would probably be stabbing at the throttle to see if it would stick. It would be kinda like when there is snow on, and the first thing I do is hit the gas hard to see how slick it is, then stab the brakes to get a feel for it too. Of course, that would be when there were no poles or cars around to run into.
