We have a one acre pond in PA that doesn't have electric to it and little wind for a wind mill. So we bought solar panels, batteries, and a 12v aircompressor with a line and diffuser into the bottom of the pond. It has an automatic timer to come on/off and works really well. It cost some $ though. We got ours from Keaton Industries in CO. If you have electric - I really like Fudd's line with holes going to an air compressor, probably vary the size of holes from smaller as it goes in to larger at the bottom end to even out the release.
