Well, how about 2 days? Bought brake parts and rotors for my car's rear brakes. Also needed to replace the backing plates/sheilds inboard of brakes. Well, guess what, shields won't fit over hubs. Have to pull axles to install them. So I have to disassemble differential... and reassmble same aftreward. Putting new gear lube is not a simple task either. Then there were the clips that hold the ebrakes in, that got damaged when I pulled the rotors. Fortunately the auto parts store was open for a couple hour window on Sunday and had e-brake hardware kit in stock.... Two days to do what should have been a simple, couple hour project! Been there - done that. Got a greasy coveralls to prove it, and grease stained hands too.
