In the late 50's my dad had a factory built irrigation pump powered by a Willis industrail engine. You know how you use an irrigation pump - set it running, and come back in several hours. Well, this thing would quit periodically for no good reason. 'Bout went crazy trying to find what was wrong. All the standard tuneups, carburetor rebuilds, etc. nothing. Then in despiration, he took the fuel tank off - found a short piece of cellophane tape floating in the gasoline. It would circulate around in the tank, eventially lodging on the fuel intake, shutting down the engine. Soon's the engine quit, it would float away to come back and get us another day!
