That's what I like about you "environmentalists". I once counted myself amoungst your number, but I've since wised up about all of this nonesense brainwashing. Here in the People's Republik of Kalifornia, the Enviro-wacko's brought us MTBE, supposed to clean up the air they said. All it did was pollute the ground water, cut gas mileage by 20% and wreak fuel injection systems. They told us we didn't need power plants, our "Red Davis" governor tells us conservation is the solution, welcome rolling blackouts, good bye business. Go Bush Go! Regards, Rick from Paso.

Product Review: Lead Substitutes - by Mike Schordine. Lead was oriinally added to gasoline as an upper cylinder lubricant. It lubes the valves and seats. If you rebuild the motor, you could use hardened seats and valves, and unleaded fuel. But if your old tractor runs good, a simple lead substitute added to the gas is a perfectly reasonable solution. And, if you are like me, your tractor is under cover, but it sits outside. So with every temperature change, the humidity in the air collects in the fuel tank, in the form of water.
