It all comes down to the fact that the insurance industry has gotten out of hand along with everything else . I had more money in my pocket back in the late sixty's making 7.50 and hour as a flat rate mechanic then i had when i was charging 35 and hour fixing tractors. I now pay more for car insurance for two cars and one pick up then i paid for full coverage and million dollar liability on a semi per year . The blame on everything really all come back to each of us . as we want more and we got to have it now . The Dr.'s and hospitals charge more and when they know you have ins. the bill goes up . Same if you take your car in for repairs from a accident and the insurance is paying the bill . And the Government is sure not going to FIX this problem they screw up everything they get there grubby hands into . Plus by the time they create a NEW Gov> agency and over staff it at higher wages then create and agency to watch over that one . where we be left. When the War Dept. and i had our two girls we did not have any insurance and WE paid the BILL out of pocket had we had insurance the bill would have been a lot higher, yea it would have covered the bills but there still would have been the part we had to pay anyway and yes it cost us a couple grand out of pocket had we been paying insurance over the years before we would have still been in the hole a few grand more . Now the War Dept. has insurance thru where she works and it is pretty good insurance it still costs us over 6 grand a year . so add up then numbers over say 10 years. also always remember that and insurance co. is not going to go broke and just look how tight they are with OUR money that we are investing in them and yes that is just what it is we invest in insurance and they take OUR money and invest it in big returns and make more money then you could ever think of and when it comes time to pay out a little they whine worse the stepping on a tail of a cat.

Today's Featured Article - The Nuts and Bolts of Fasteners - Part 2 - by Curtis Von Fange. In our previous article we discussed capscrews, bolts, and nuts along with their relative hardness and thread sizes. In this segment we will finish up on our fasteners and then work with ways to keep them from loosening up in the field. Capscrews, bolts and nuts are not the only means of holding two parts together. When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and ... [Read Article]
