The exact year I do not remember but it was some time in the early 70s and I think it was 1974 but as I said can not be 100% sure. I do know they where making the Diamond Reo and the Diamond-T at the same time but the T was to caddy of the 2 of them and the reo was a tad bit cheaper built. The gov. was the cause of them closing down due to gov contracts with out an inflation clause. Diamond made the 6X6 trucks for the military and got to the point the truck was costing more the make then the gov was paying for them so Diamond went belly up
