excuse me for butting in, but yes the small john deeres are made by yanmar. i have a JD870 and it is a great tractor for just about anything you want to do. i believe the "grey market tractors" were the ones that were made for the NON-AMERICAN market. they did NOT have some of the required safety devises like rops and seat belts and stop and signal lights, etc. check it out good before you buy and be sure to ask a qualified mechanic or dealer rep about the differences of the "grey market" tractors.
