Didn't know they still did that. I always assumed that years back, when diesel fuel was cheap and big diesels were hard to start, it was a matter of economics. That is, you'd spend less on diesel fuel to let it run than the wear and tear on batteries and starters was worth. Be interesting to hear from the truckers and get their reasoning on this.
