Oliver (then White Farm Equipment - WFE) ceased production in Charles City in the early 90's. That plant had the ability to do it all from the engine block casting and machining to final assembly. Many of the mfrs today simply assemble the parts, little or no machining and finished castings coming from Europe and Mexico. Deere outsources complete cabs, axle sets, etc. They don't even mount the tires, tire/wheel assys come in from someone like Titan just in time to go on the tractor before it rolls off the line.
